What is First-Harvest Sencha?
First-harvest sencha, also known as ichibancha, is the first tea picked in the growing season. Because the leaves are young and carefully selected, the tea tends to have a more vivid aroma, gentle sweetness, and a cleaner, more nuanced taste. It is one of the most treasured expressions of Japanese green tea.
